Detailer/ Porter

Responsibilities

As a Detailer/Porter you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties as it relates to maintenance of and service of vehicles. This position will interact daily with the Service Manager, Product Specialist, Support staff and customers.

The goal of a Porter in to ensure that our customers are 100% happy with delivery of their car.  

  • Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer 
  • Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards 
  • Pick up vehicles from and deliver vehicles to storage 
  • Test batteries of customer vehicles in service drive 
  • Maintains building and ground as needed 
  • Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed

Qualifications

  • To be successful in this role you will need to be highly detail- oriented with solid organizational and time- management skills, possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills, true passion and understanding of the industry, as well as strong customer service and active – listening abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
  • Must be able to left up to 50 pounds

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
